NHS Dental Charges as of 1 April 2022
At the Dental Practice Ruislip, we aim to keep your teeth, mouth and gums clean and healthy. Below are the NHS treatment bands. It is important to note that NHS costs do not include cosmetic treatments such as veneers.
Depending on what you need to have done, you should only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it. Charges are capped and you will not be charged for individual items within the course of treatment. i.e. regardless of you needing one filling (Band 2) or five you will only need to pay £65.20. NHS prices are national and fixed by the government (Department of Health).
Band 1 course of treatment: £23.80
This covers an examination, diagnosis (including X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.
Band 2 course of treatment: £65.20
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth.
Band 3 course of treatment: £282.80
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
DENTAL FINANCE
We realise that whilst many people would like to benefit from the treatments available, paying in one amount can prove difficult.
Unfortunately, for many, delaying the treatment can result in on-going discomfort and may incur additional cost if the problem deteriorates.
Accordingly, to enable you to benefit from the SMILE you want now, we are pleased to be working with the specialist finance provider Dental Finance (www.tabeo.co.uk) in offering interest free finance plans enabling you to spread the cost.
The paperwork is straightforward with no difficult questions. You will be asked to complete a simple application and we will normally have an answer for you the same day.
